The Ministry of Landscape is a ministry of the Vekllei Government.

The Ministry of Landscape is a devolved ministry of the Government of Vekllei. It holds the land and sea of the Commonwealth as territory, and is responsible for what is grown and caught on it. The ministry is tasked with “landscape” as it is used in Vekllei, with mining and hydrocarbons assigned to the Ministry of Industry and towns and buildings to the Ministry of the Commons.
Although the ministry keeps the national parks, it is not an environmental ministry. Its portfolio encompasses the physical landscape of Vekllei in a straightforward sense, including the survey of land and its titles, weather, farming, fishing and the territorial waters. Common responsibilities of the ministry include:
- The cadastre, the Titles Register and the national maps
- Meteorology, weather forecasting and natural disaster warnings
- Territorial waters, the exclusive economic zones and their hydrography
- Agriculture, forestry, biosecurity and quarantine
- Commercial fishing and aquaculture
- National parks, reserves and wild Commonwealth land
- Natural sciences research through the LSRE
Vekllei is a megadiverse country, owing to its distant and transpolar territories that often comprise isolated and unique ecosystems. As such, the ministry is highly devolved and has an established presence in every Vekllei republic. In many smaller constituent republics it is the largest Commonwealth presence, because it keeps a survey office and a weather station on islands with no other federal office. Through the LSRE, it is one of the foremost contributors to environmental sciences in the world. The Ministry of Landscape is led by its First Minister, elected from within by professional staff.
