In Vekllei high schools, architecture is taught not as a prescriptive skill but as a form of expression. Materials, style and even gravity are secondary to the dream of architecture. The point is to demystify and deprofessionalise architecture, which intimidates young people.
By showing non-artsy students that anyone can design an object without fear of being inferior, it helps encourage any nascent interest they might have. The technical skill can always come later.
