All secondary students have an assigned desk. You’ll notice it looks like a desk for adults — this is because they are treated with the respect you’d give adults, and they enjoy a lot of freedom.
With that said, expectations are high and there is little patience for bad behaviour. Teenagers are still teenagers, and they fight, cut class, bully and shout like anywhere. But respect received is generally respect given, and reciprocality is an important part of their schooling.
