Basically all freight in the country is moved by rail over land. Their Atlantic and Caribbean islands are criss-crossed by a dense network of sidings and yards, which are now directed centrally by computers. Large intermodal containers simply don’t scale for local industry across dozens of islands.

The Commonwealth Consolidated Container standard (CCC) can be handled by robots or with forklifts and better suits the scale of commerce.
